Aalto University's first student council elections

Election for the Representative Council 2009

In the Representative Council election of the Aalto University Student Union 45 members will be elected for the period from August 1 2009 to December 31 2011. The election will be held on April 21 and April 22 (advance voting April 16 and April 17).

Entitled to vote and eligible in the elections are all students of the Helsinki School of Economics (HSE), the University of Art and Design Helsinki (TaiK) and the University of Technology (TKK) who have registered as present for the spring of 2009 and who have paid the membership fee of the student union in question and are therefore members of KY, TOKYO or TKY.

Election Instructions

Candidate nomination starts February 2 2009 and ends February 24 2009 at 4pm. Election documents must be delivered to the KY office (Pohjoinen Rautatiekatu 21 B, 00100 Helsinki, 3rd floor), the TOKYO office (Hämeentie 135 C, 00560 Helsinki, basement floor) or the TKY Secretariat (Otakaari 11, 02150 Espoo, postal address Otakaari 11, PL 69, 02151 Espoo). No changes may be made to the documents after they have been delivered. A receipt will be given for the delivery.

The election is organized by the central election committee nominated by the student unions of KY, TOKYO and TKY. The practical details and the general guidelines of the election are defined in the Aalto University Student Union Election Order.
