Cultural Week 2009

TKY organises the culture week again to brighten up the dark autumn. Come and listen to music, marvel at paintings, enjoy dancing and get cultural experiences throughout the whole week.
Signing up is required for Kinopoli film nights but you can just show up to the other events and enjoy culture. However, some benefits are only for TKY members but everyone is welcome to enjoy culture.

Tue, 17 November, free common concert of PO, PK, Oxetti and Polirytmi in TU 2 Hall, 7pm-8.30pm

Other events
Pablo Picasso exhibition in Ateneum throughout the whole week. Student tickets cost €14 and the first 50 TKY members get a free Pablo pin.
Museum of Technology (in Finnish), student tickets €2.
Naturally our own Polyteekkari Museum is also open on Sunday, 12noon-3pm. Come and get to know the history of technology students.
Didrichsen Art Museum free admission throughout the week.
Gyllenberg Art Museum free admission for TKY members. NB! Only open on Wednesday and Sunday.
Espoo City Theatre presents at least one show every day from Tue to Sat. Dostoyevsky’s 'Idiot' and 'Raivokabaree' – eclectic drama show. Student tickets €15.
Also remember EMMA, Gallen Kallela Museum, Villa Elfvik and other excellent art services close to Otaniemi.
PK’s Open Rehearsals
The traditional male chorus of Otaniemi, the Polytech Choir, has open rehearsals on Wednesday, 18 November, where everyone is welcome to come and see what choir singing is all about. The rehearsals take place in AS 2 Hall from 6pm to 7.30pm. Come and see how a quality male choir operates and enjoy manly singing. http://www.polyteknikkojenkuoro.fi/
Free Concert
The Polytech Orchestra, the Polytech Choir, Oxetti and Polirytmi organise a free concert for all students and personnel of TKK on Tuesday, 17 November. The concert begins at 7pm in TU 2 Hall at TUAS building and ends at 8.30pm. Each performance lasts for approximately 20-30 minutes.
