In Search of Members for the Financial Committee of the Aalto University Student Union

The Aalto University Student Union (AUS) owns and administers significant property which consists of property ownerships and investment property. The Selection Working Group for the Financial Committee, appointed by the Representative Council of the AUS, is now taking applications for the student member seats of the Financial Committee. The Financial Committee is looking for both men and women. The Working Group desires that applicants are motivated and committed to the operations of the Financial Committee, that they are familiar with the Student Union organisation and have the ability to comprehend the liability relations of different bodies and to participate in the handling and decision-making of complicated financial affairs.

The Financial Committee has 8-10 members, including the chairperson, of which half are annually in turn to resign. The chairperson must be a member of the Student Union. The purpose of the Financial Committee is to control and manage the Student Union's property and to prepare and implement the issues which are determined in the standing order of the Student Union's management of finances.

Please send your open application to the Financial Committee to the address [email protected] with the title 'Taloustoimikunta' by 5 November 2009, 4pm and specify why you should be appointed for the Financial Committee. Please attach your CV with the application. You will be notified when your application has been received.

Applications are handled and the elected persons are presented to the Representative Council by the Selection Working Group of the Financial Committee which consists of Jouni Lounasmaa (Chairperson), Teemu Halme, Katariina Kyckling, Jenni Laakso, Noora Lehtovaara, Elli Leppisaari, Anna Tompuri. The term of the Working Group will finish at the end of 2009.
