Teekkari Card Discounts

With your student card you get discounts from student cafeterias and from train and bus travelling. By showing your card you get to enjoy of the health care services provided by the Finnish Student Healthcare System you are entitled to as a member of the TKY.

Kino Tapiola movie theatre offers student discount for TKY members

Kino Tapiola movie theatre offers all TKY members a fixed student discount. The price of the student ticket is € 6. The discount is valid in all normal shows. The student discount is not valid on previews or subscribed shows, but on those occasions members of the TKY get free medium sized popcorn. You receive these benefits by showing your teekkari card at the ticket office.

Otaniemi’s Nordea bank offers benefits for teekkaris

Nordea bank offers its teekkari customers benefits from its Otaniemi branch for the duration of this year. In addition with the ‘Check in’ benefits, teekkaris can take student loans for 50 % discount and there are no subscription fees for fund subscribing.

K-extra grocery store in Otaniemi offers student discounts

Otaniemen K-extra grocery store offers up to 9 % of student discounts of your purchases, depending on the products. Discount is given when you show your official student card to the cashier. Unfortunately, no discount is given on cigarette, alcohol or discount products.

Laptops for reasonable prices for teekkaris

The TKY offers its members, in cooperation with Vetonaula Oy Ltd and Hewlett Packard, powerful HP laptops with 3 years guarantee. Can also be used in CAD drawing!

We provide HP’s products with long life spans, prices ranging from € 1500 to € 2500. Student price varies from model to model and the discount is at 20 % at its best. All orders are made through Vetonaula Oy by email at [email protected]. You must give your valid student number as you submit your order.

Saksitaksi brings all hairdressers’ services close to you for a student price

Need a cut? The Saksitaksi brings all hairdressers’ services to you! Offer: € 20 for a hair cut when there are at least five customers. The price includes a hair cut, finishing touches, value-added tax and travelling expenses. Viking Line discounts

The TKY has an agreement through the SYL with Viking Line shipping company. To get a discount from your trip, you need a discount code which you can get from the TKY’s secretariat’s teekkari service. Be prepared to show your Teekkari card as you get your tickets and at the terminal.

Discount from SRM’s youth hostels

The TKY is a member organization of Hostelling International Finland, or SRM, through the SYL. The triangle logo in your Teekkari card entitles you to receive a € 2.50 discount on normal overnight rate/person/night.. The benefit is personal. There are 83 SRM chain hostels around Finland. Additionally, you gain a membership card for the Hostelling International chain with your Teekkari card for a reduced price: adult card’s price (over 17 year olds) is € 12 (normal price € 17). Cards for children (4 to 16 year olds) cost € 2 when parents buy themselves cards at the same time. The price of a group card (minimum of 10 people) is € 50.

The international hostel card entitles you to membership prices in all HI hostels around the world. Some of the hostels require the card in order for you to stay there. The international hostel card also holds various benefits and discounts in Finland and aboard. The hostel card is personal and valid for a year from the date of purchase. You can order or buy the card from SRM’s office. SRM’s agencies sell the card also.

Student discount from Tiimari

Tiimari, an arts and crafts store, offers students a 10 % discount on all normal price products. You get the discount by showing the cashier your Teekkari card. The discount is not valid for gift certificates, stamps or Habbo money.
