TKY

Rules and regulations

The association must draft its rules and regulations according to the TKY’s rules and regulations model by using the association rules and regulations drafting instructions and the Secretary of Organisational Affair’s expertise. The rules and regulations must also abide to Finnish laws and common decency.

The requirements for entering the TKY’s primary register in the list of associations are:

  • Only TKY members are allowed as ordinary members of the association
  • Only ordinary members are entitled to vote
  • Associations meetings must be announced on the official TKY notice board
  • If the association is dissolved/abolished, the assets of the association are to be transferred to TKY

The TKY’s rules and regulations model weas drafted in such a way, that these requirements are fulfilled.

The requirements for entering the TKY’s secondary register in the list of associations are not as strict as in the primary register. An association can be admitted into the secondary register in the list of associations if it is considered as student activity, Student Union members are active in it, and if its purpose and activities, and supporting it,are convergent with the Student Union’s purposes and abide to law and common decency.

The association’s rules and regulations must be clear, easily readable and in support of the association’s activities.

It is advisable to show the rules and regulations draft to the Secretary of Organisational Affairs before the founding meeting in order to be commented upon already beforehand.
