BIKEPOLI - Bicycling club

Bikepoli invites all kinds of cyclists to join the action. We arrange group rides on pavement or trails, sauna, one-day-trips to local downhillig spots and also visit some biking festivals such as Lohja 24H and Åre Mountain Mayhem. Our workshop in Otaniemi has all the equipment you need to maintenance your bike. There is a brief In English -section in both our website and discussion forum.

JuoTe

JuoTe is the running club of The Student Union of HUT. We have "a one hour running together" in Otaniemi every Wednesday at 6 pm. In addition, we have the circuit training every Thursday at 6 pm. We are trying to give students a chance to find sportish friends.

Kobota

Kobota is an association for promoting Okinawan kobujutsu, a weapon tradition that has close ties with karate. Bo- and saijutsu form the basics of training, but also other weapons are included in the system. We train once a week. No basic courses are arranged; new members with previous experience on weaponless martial arts are welcome at a continuous basis.

Oranki

Oranki is the climbing club at Helsinki University of Technology. Every week we climb at our own bouldering gym "Pesä" and we also arrange trips and other climbing related activities, plus we lend members the club's ice-climbing equipment and bouldering pads.

OSUKO

Osuko is THE badminton club at HUT. Our main focus is to bring all badminton-bee-bitten students together. Primary activities include weekly gamedays at affordable prices and participating in tournaments with varying degrees of success. Otaniemen jyllääjät (OJy)

Otaniemen Jyllääjät ry (OJy) is a sporting association founded by students of surveying, which nowadays is also the sporting home for many other students and those already in working life. The official sports of the OJy are floorball, orienteering, curling, football, rinkball and cheerleading. You can also run into people from OJy at adventuring competitions, kyykkä fields, swamp soccer... just about anywhere where you can do sports with a bit of humour!

Otaonnela Floorball

Otaonnela Floorball, also known as FLOB, is an association under the Student Union of the Helsinki University of Technology, and a member association of the Finnish Floorball Federation. There are a number of floorball fanatic teekkaris, engineers and others playing on the four teams of the association.

Polyteknikkojen liitokiekkoilijat Polli

The teekkari Frisbee club concentrating mainly on ultimate. The purpose is to have fun playing ultimate and competing in it. Game tactics are also honed at sauna parties.

PUS

Polyteknikkojen Urheiluseura (PUS; Technology Students' Sport Club) has been the advocate of student sports in Helsinki University of Technology for more than 100 years. Gather a team of at least 6 players (5 in baseball) and join one of the Otaniemi leagues in basketball, volley ball, futsal or floorball! Participation fee in each league is 25 euros per team. PUS-Volley

PUS-Volley is a volleyball-club with one team. The team is playing in Finland's second division. PUS-Volley has trainings two times a week. There's always room for skillful players who have played on a reasonable level in their home country. We are looking for a skillful player who wants to practice with us OR even join the team and play games with us during the season. Contact us, come to the trainings, and show your skills!

Skipoli

Skipoli is a club for skiers, snowboarders and in between. We go skiing/snowboarding every week to some place near Otaniemi. We have two expeditions every year, one to Lapland end of November and one to the Alps end of January. Skipoli arranges big parties in the start and end of the skiing-season. -"Skiing is the easy part."

Tete

Tete is a tennis club for all students. We organize tennis play days, training courses, competitions, parties etc. We also have our internal tennis series that runs throughout the year. TKY-Aikikai

Aikido is a martial art, where the force of the attack is directed to the desired direction using circular movements without causing the attacker permanent damage. TKY-Aikikai is a sub-association with a purpose of promoting Aikido among teekkaris. We practice once a week at Jämeräntaipale tatami hall (JMT 5A), after which we have our weekly sauna time. Occasionally, we also have parties and camps.

TKY Karate Do Shotokai

TKY-KDS is a Shotokai style karate club for teekkaris. Extensive movement and total body-control is distinctive to our style, instead of learning specific moves. We do not compete in our style; we all compete only with ourselves.
