Grants

Associations are entitled to apply for grants from various sources for their projects or to support their activities.

Grants Assigned by TKY

TKY assigns its associations with starting funds, and operating, project, trip and sporting grants. Further information at jarjestoasiat(at)tky.fi

Operating Grant

The Board of TKY assigns the associations in the TKY association register operating grants once a year in April. Period for applying is in March every year. Only complete applications, submitted in time, are processed. For more information, contact jarjestoasiat(at)tky.fi.

Increased Operating Grant

An association is entitled to apply for an increased operating grant, if it has been planning a project that deviates from its normal activities, for example on a jubilee year of the association. Increased operating grants are allocated by the same criteria as Project Grants, see below.

Project Grants

Project grants are open for applying during the academic year for activities falling outside the normal operations. Project grants are only assigned for events which are not annual and which have been announced only after the application of operating grants and which are one-off by nature. Project grants can be applied for from the Secretary of Organizational Affairs throughout the year, however, if the project is already known of as the operating grant is being applied for, then the applications must be joined to form an application for increased operating grant. All decisions considering grants are made by the Board.

Starting Funds

Starting funds are meant for starting a new association. The funds are eligible for applying throughout the year from the Secretary of Organisational Affairs. All decisions considering grants are made by the Board.

Trip and Sporting Event Grants

Trip and sporting event grants are grants meant for supporting longer trips in Finland or abroad and for organising sporting events. Grants are assigned according to their usefulness and their suitability from the TKY standpoint. Grants are eligible for applying throughout the year from the Secretary of Organisational Affairs. All decisions considering grants are made by the Board.
