Committees

Financial Committee

The Financial Committee is a body, elected by the Representative Council to use financial authority. Its purpose is to direct the Student Union’s dormitory and investment activities. Important financial decisions, such as a decision to build a new dormitory to the Teekkarikylä village, will always go through the Board to be decided upon by the Representative Council. The Financial Committee consists of current students and graduate engineers with experience in the business life.

Continuity Committee

The Continuity Committee is an advisory body with no operative power. The committee usually convenes few times a year, and in addition cooperates with the Board and the Representative Council. The members of the Continuity Committee concentrate especially in helping the Board in its day-to-day work by giving every board member a sparring partner.

The Continuity Committee is comprised of people who were active in the TKY 5 to 10 years ago and the Representative Council complements the committee when necessary.

Honorary Committee

The Student Union has an Honorary Committee, which comprises of people who have significantly contributed to the Student Union. The purpose of the Honorary Committee is to advise and support the Student Union.

Sections

In addition to the aforementioned bodies, the Student Union has a number of sections and committees formed by volunteers.
