The Board
The Board of the TKY is in charge of the Student Union’s activities under the Representative Council. The Board comprises of a Chair and 4 to 8 board members. In the Student Union’s organization the Board is the body using the executive power, which means that it decides and executes most of the issues using the action plan passed by the Representative Council. The Board represents the Student Union together with the Chair of the Representative Council and Secretary General. The Board is chosen annually by the Representative Council. In addition to the general board responsibility, each Board member (excluding the Chair) has their own sector. The Board members direct and develop their own sectors and especially tend to the problems of their own sector. In addition to Board members, each sector has a paid employee, i.e. a secretary.
