General information on courses

Most of the TKK’s courses include lectures. And usually courses also include exercises or something similar.

Credits are units that measure the amount of work involved in a course. One ECTS credit (op = opintopiste) corresponds to approximately 26 and 2/3 hours of studying, including lectures, preparation for examinations and other studying. The old credit system consisted of credits (ov = opintoviikko), which corresponded to 40 hours of studying.

Course material

You can easily purchase course books from Yliopiston Kirjakauppa bookstore. One of the chain's stores is situated near the Otaniemi shopping centre, next to the post office at Otakaari 11.
